How does it work?
Each patient needs an initial consult where we go through your medical history, your goals, eating habits, and any questions you may have. We weigh you in our office along with other body composition measurements and give you your results. We then prescribe you a medication that we believe will best fit your needs/lifestyle. We follow up with you monthly for weigh ins and medication refills.
How do I prepare for my initial consult?
We ask that if you've had a full panel blood work within the last 6 months to please bring in a physical copy to your appointment or email it over prior to info@babeaestheticsny.com. If you have not had blood work within the last 6 months, please let us know and we will send you a prescription after your appointment has been booked that you can bring to your preferred lab.

We also ask that if you have had a Thyroid Ultrasound and EKG within the last 6 months to also bring in a physical copy to your appointment or email it over prior to info@babeaestheticsny.com. If you have not had these done, we can send a prescription to our medical clinic.

What is Semaglutide?
Semaglutide is a synthetic glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonist (GLP-1 RA) that belongs to a class of antidiabetic agents called incretin mimetics. Incretins are endogenous compounds, including glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1), that improve glycemic control once released into the circulation via the gut. Semaglutide subcutaneous injections are used as an adjunct to diet and exercise to improve glycemic control in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). Semaglutide subcutaneous injections are also used to reduce the risk of non-fatal cardiovascular (CV) events and CV mortality in T2DM patients with CV disease.
What is Tirzepatide?
Tirzepatide is a weekly injection for managing type 2 diabetes by reducing blood sugar levels. Despite not yet being approved as a weight loss drug, clinical trials have demonstrated its efficacy in aiding weight loss.
Tirzepatide functions by stimulating not only the GLP-1 but also the GIP hormone receptors. This medication is exclusively intended for adults and should be combined with a healthy diet and regular exercise.
When used together for weight loss, Semaglutide and Tirzepatide work synergistically to amplify their effects. While Semaglutide activates GLP-1 receptors, Tirzepatide goes a step further by activating both GLP-1 and GIP hormone receptors. This dual mechanism results in increased insulin production, decreased glucagon secretion, reduced appetite and energy intake, delayed gastric emptying, and significant weight loss in clinical trials compared to placebo. How often do I need to take it?
Semaglutide is a once-a-week injectable done at home. Most patients see an 8-10 pound weight loss in the first month. Patients continue losing weight as the dose increases monthly. Semaglutide starts at 0.25mg, then increases to 0.5mg, 1mg, 2mg, and lastly 2.5mg. Side effects & contraindications of Semaglutide
Semaglutide is contraindicated in patients with a history of angioedema, anaphylaxis, or other serious hypersensitivity reaction to semaglutide.
Semaglutide is contraindicated in patients with a personal or family history of certain types of thyroid cancer, specifically thyroid C-cell tumors such as medullary thyroid carcinoma (MTC), or in patients with multiple endocrine neoplasia syndrome type 2 (MEN 2).
Side effects & contraindications of Super Lipo Lean Injections
If you are sensitive to Super Lipo Lean Injections or any of its ingredients, you should not receive these injections. Additionally, individuals with acidosis, liver disease, or hereditary optic nerve atrophy should avoid Super Lipo Lean Injections, as they may exacerbate these conditions. It is also worth noting that Super Lipo Lean Injections have not been extensively studied in pregnant or breastfeeding women, so caution should be exercised in these cases as well. Side effects & contraindications of Phentermine
Clinical effects include CNS stimulation and elevation of blood pressure, increased heart rate, anxiety, and insomnia. Appetite suppression is believed to occur through direct stimulation of the satiety center in the hypothalamic and limbic region. According to the manufactures of phentermine capsules and tablets, its products are contraindicated in patients with cardiac disease, advanced arteriosclerosis, moderate to severe hypertension, agitated states, or glaucoma.
